Woman, 70, bashed in random attack on E. 14th St.

In an apparent random attack, a thug struck a 70-year-old woman in the head with an unknown object at E. 14th St. and Second Ave., police said.

According to cops, on Fri., July 9, around 10:40 a.m., the attacker approached the victim in front of 310 E. 14th St. and bashed her in the head.

The senior woman fell to the ground and the assailant fled. E.M.S. responded and transported the victim to an area hospital in stable condition with scrapes on her wrist and elbow.

Police released surveillance camera images of the alleged suspect.
