If you like live bluegrass music and want to experience it in a unique setting in Soho, the Thompson Street Medicine Show recently started back up again after going on hiatus during the pandemic.
It’s New York City’s only “drugstore string band.”
The free shows are held every second, fourth and fifth Tuesday of the month at Thompson Alchemists, at 132 Thompson St., between Houston and Prince Sts.
In addition to bluegrass, the June 29 jamboree also featured a fair amount of 1960s and ’70s pop and rock, though performed in a softer style.
There’s no booze at the events, just water.
You can also watch remotely on YouTube live.
