The city is getting ready to launch an Open Culture program to encourage outdoor performances. But this abandoned outdoor-dining shed on Avenue A looked more like Open Clutter.
The “yurt,” as some insist on calling them, had a little of everything, from art and literature (“Mickey Finds a Kitten,” Strindberg) to a printer, a toaster, a sombrero, pants, a chair naturally with a Boss bag on it, a couch, lights, even some old-school vinyl.
A small candle had been left burning in a glass container there early Sunday afternoon but no one was home.
