Lindsey Boylan petitions with Grand St. Dems

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Lindsey Boylan may well have helped author Andrew Cuomo’s exit from the governor’s mansion. Sunday morning, though, she was gathering petition signatures on the Lower East Side.

The Cuomo accuser and borough president candidate joined the Grand Street Democrats at Grand and Clinton Sts. They collected voters’ signatures to get candidates — including herself — on the ballot for the June 22 Democratic primary.

Boylan, who lives in Chelsea, was the first former Cuomo aide to raise charges of sexual harassment against the governor.

The club endorsed her for election in February. Two weeks later, she accused Cuomo of creating an environment of sexual harassment, including giving her an unwanted kiss on the lips and suggesting they “play strip poker” during a flight.

Boylan recently threatened to start a PAC to target Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand for not calling on Cuomo to resign, but then last Friday they called for him to step down.

In a since-deleted tweet, she criticized President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for not doing the same.

    This is an obviously arrogant and vindictive candidate whose accusations against Cuomo are clearly self-serving. Now she’s trying to force Biden and Harris into calling for the governor’s resignation. What exactly are her qualifications to be Manhattan Borough President beyond publicity stunts?

      I tend to believe her accusations (and those of the other accusers). Anyone who had the unfortunate experience to deal with Cuomo – even when he worked for his father in the 1980s – know he’s a bully.

      But Mary is correct. What does being a victim do to make one qualified to be Manhattan BP? Her real estate experience and connections should be raised about her and any other candidate (for example, Brad Hoylman, who is just as insidious).

      Seems Boylan is blocking anyone on Twitter who raises legitimate questions. Those who know Chris Quinn remember that she would label as misogynist anyone who disagreed with her.

    She reeks in real estate. She was Chief of Staff for Empire State Development Co. (ESDC) working on huge projects that displace people. She worked for Hudson Yards creator Alexander Garvin. Her husband owns a Wall Street Investment bank. Is that the type of person who should be Manhattan Borough President?

      Absolutely not.

        Absolutely not what? Are you an ostrich with your head in the sand? All I said above is well-documented. Are you saying she didn’t work for ESDC or Garvin? See https://our.barnard.edu/s/1133/images/editor_documents/our_barnard/benet_events/lindsey_boylan_bio_2.pdf — just one of many sources on her real background. What about her husband and Wall Street? Just Google “leroy kim investment bank” and you will see. There are reports that they are tight with Rupert Murdoch, but I was not able to verify those connections. And that’s just to start. Sorry that she had to suffer from Cuomo the creep (I believe here on that), but that does not make her qualified to be Manhattan Borough President.

      Fred;
      Lindsey Boylan’s Twitter and Instagram feeds make clear she cares about the poor. Just listen to Lindsey talk and all your worries will be assauged.

        Sarcasm perhaps?

        Well getting information from her Twitter feed would be difficult for many people, since Boylan blocks anyone who doesn’t express enthusiastic support for her.
